AussiePass Privacy Policy
Overview
AussiePass is an Australian citizenship test preparation app. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
AussiePass does not require an account, display advertising, track you across apps or websites, or sell personal information.
Information stored on your device
The following information is stored locally on your device so the app can provide its study features:
- study preferences and an optional test date;
- answers, diagnostic results and lesson progress;
- bookmarks, practice activity and mock exam history;
- reminder settings and speech preferences; and
- verified content corrections downloaded by the app.
AussiePass does not transmit your answers, test date, bookmarks or learning history to the developer. You can delete your learning progress from Settings. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to any device backups managed by you or Apple.
Purchases
Lifetime access is offered as an in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. AussiePass receives the product and transaction entitlement information required to verify and restore access. The developer does not receive your full payment-card or billing details. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's own privacy policies.
Notifications
If you enable study reminders, AussiePass asks for notification permission and schedules notifications locally on your device. Reminder preferences and an optional test date are not sent to the developer. You can disable notifications in the app or in iOS Settings.
Speech
The optional read-aloud feature uses Apple's speech synthesis services available through iOS. AussiePass does not send the text you listen to an analytics or advertising service operated by the developer.
Content updates and network information
AussiePass may contact its content service when you check for signed corrections. These requests do not include your answers, test date, question history, bookmarks or identity. As with any internet request, the service or its hosting provider may process basic technical information, such as an IP address, request time and standard network headers, to deliver the response, maintain security and diagnose service reliability. This information is not used for advertising or to build a learning profile.
If the content service is unavailable, the built-in offline content and the last verified correction package remain available.
Analytics and diagnostics
AussiePass does not use a third-party product analytics or advertising SDK. Product events are written to Apple's local unified logging system and are not transmitted by AussiePass to a developer-operated analytics service.
Apple may provide the developer with aggregated App Store statistics, crash reports or diagnostic information according to Apple's policies and the analytics-sharing choices on your device. Apple acts under its own privacy terms when providing these services.
External links
The app contains links to official Australian Government resources, Creative Commons licence information, Apple legal pages and email support. When you open an external website or service, its operator may process information under its own privacy policy. AussiePass is not responsible for the privacy practices of external services.
Data retention and disclosure
Because study information remains on your device, the developer does not retain a server-side copy of that information. AussiePass does not sell or rent personal information. Information may be disclosed only when required by applicable law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and integrity of the app or content service.
Children
AussiePass is a general citizenship test preparation tool and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app's features or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
